Literary miniatures

With the texts of his „Ukrainian Apocalypse“, Zacharias Mbizo attempts to say something about the seemingly unsayable – the atrocities of the war in Ukraine. The „literary miniatures“ are now available in an expanded new edition as a PDF and an ebook.

The war against Ukraine has a paradoxical effect: On the one hand, we are confronted with it every day in the news. On the other hand, the more we hear about it, the more we lose our sense of the reality of war, because the constant war coverage makes us indifferent to the events.

In this way, the regular war reports fuel exactly what they want to prevent: the continuation of war. Our increasing indifference is like doping for those who want to bring about the demise of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people with their bombs.

Against this background, it seems important not only to look at external events, but also to strengthen the sense of the motivations of the perpetrators and the suffering of the victims. This is precisely what the „literary miniatures“ from Zacharias Mbizo’s collection of texts on the Ukrainian Apocalypse want to support.

The collection of texts, which first appeared in 2022, is currently being released in an expanded new edition. PDF and ebook versions are available from today. An interview with the author can be found on rotherbaron.com.
