Ilona Lay: Early Morning

On Planet Literature, we celebrate Easter with a music video to a poem by Ilona Lay. Happy Easter!

Early Morning

Dreamily Mother Earth lolls in her sleep
under the clumsy embrace of the winds,
her shivering shell still wrapped
in the garment of the clouds.

Winking between the pine stairs,
the eye of the moon gazes at her.
On the misty ponds, water lilies
nestle shyly against its wings.

Glittering between the trembling leaves,
the stars of the day entice her into life.
Reborn from nocturnal dust,
the gaze glides into the shimmering distance.
