Dream Worlds. Literary Miniatures.

At first glance, the language of dreams seems enigmatic to us. However, if we are willing to engage with their peculiar logic, they can help us to see things more clearly. This is all the more true when our dreams are a mirror of our own abysses.

Nocturnal Call is the author’s second volume of „dream worlds„ after The Hidden Chamber. Like the texts in the Literary Corona Diary and the Ukrainian Apocalypse, the Dream Worlds are also written in the style of „literary miniatures“. As such, the author describes „texts that are located between short story, literary reflection and poem“. The frequently used „you“ form in these texts is for him „a way of creating greater intimacy – to empathise with the characters, to put oneself in their shoes“.
