War – that means the indiscriminate, mechanised killing of others in order to assert interests that might not even coincide with those killing. This is basically unimaginable. Yet it continues to be part of our reality to this day.
War
The city throbs like a bursting abscess,
the culture’s corset breaks apart.
Cain awakens from his shallow slumber,
treachery sprouts in every house.
The eyes are dazzled by the burning words,
a bloody flood starts whipping at the world.
Death springs from the gaping mouths,
grief settles in the homeless hearts.
Tempests calve on the horizon,
a volcano groans in labor,
a blazing stallion rises from the depths.
Mouths open in a question with no answer,
the gate to heaven turns into a shroud
and mothers into ports without a shore.
